Amberley Way Play AreaImproving the Recreation Equipment at Amberley Way Play Area The Parish Council is committed to providing our community with accessible and inclusive spaces for all. As part of this commitment, we are currently exploring ways to improve the recreation equipment at Amberley Way Play Area. We encourage you to complete our digital survey using the link below – https://forms.office.com/r/py7gSzxR2L
The play area is a popular spot for families and children from our community, and we want to ensure that it is a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone. We are particularly interested in adding more inclusive equipment to the play area, such as an inclusive wheelchair-accessible roundabout. An inclusive roundabout would allow children with disabilities to play alongside their friends and siblings. It would also provide a fun and engaging way for children of all abilities to interact and socialize. In addition to an inclusive roundabout, we are also considering adding other types of inclusive equipment to the play area, such as:
We are also working with local organisations that specialise in inclusive play to ensure that our new equipment is designed and installed to the highest standards. We are currently in the early stages of planning, and we will be sharing more information about the project in the coming months. Although we would love to complete our vision for the financial year 24/25, we recognise that recreation equipment is very expensive and we may need to carry some work over to the financial year 25/26. We welcome feedback from our community on this important initiative. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or suggestions. |
